Good points, but I think the thing that makes it tricky is the whole argument of legislation. The war on drugs made drugs illegal, so all of the resources fighting it come from the state, which complicates things further. Your idea is a good one, maybe ISPs, telcos, and others would be willing to pay for hackers to do this stuff, but then the question is how legal is any of this, and can they do that without raising international legal ire?

Here’s a legitimate comment for ya.

Good stuff here. Although, you’re not a patriot and you hate America since you support the tactics (although effective tactics) used against the enemies (otherwise known as American superheros) of Assange. =P

Seriously though, you do sound like a hippie. Where is the money in fighting spam? Let’s take the war against drugs as a good example of a war “worth” fighting. They’re lots of money to be made to “fight” drugs. Now if we can figure out how to make money from a “war against spam”, then we’ll be in business.
